"Yes, I play lead guitar for Lejonen, The Lions. Gunnar's band. My baby brother, Jakob, plays rhythm guitar and he's quite shy."
Felix had been noticing that the young Swede had been spending a lot of time around Syn which was cute. Maybe they were becoming close friends because they were of the same age? It was a possibility.
"Nice chair."
It was an observation as Dee's chair made quick work of the door ramp.
Dee had come a long way since Damien first tried to teach him how to use a power chair. He definitely preferred the trackball to the joystick in Choko's chair, and got the hang of it quicker than anyone (himself very much included) thought he would.
The fact that coming out tonight was Dee's idea really made Jay smile. his fiancé actually felt comfortable enough in his chair now to go somewhere he wanted to rather than somewhere he had to.
"You're doing great." Jay encouraged before answering Felix. "I play rhythm myself in Kuro. Johan is our lead."
"Looks like you're an expert with that chair already."
Felix smiled and could see Dee getting the hang of the controls, which looked difficult to him but were no doubt more attuned to the singer's touch. Jay seemed like a sweet sort of guy as he complimented Dee.
"You're rhythm too? That's cool. I think there's another rhythm guy on the tour. Hans the tall blond Hammers guitarist."
As for Johan, Felix had seen that guy play and his fingers sped along the fretboard so fast he couldn't believe it.
"Johan plays some seriously awesome fucking riffs."
Dee laughed nervously. He'd rammed into more hotel room doors than he cared to count. But he was starting to get the hang of maneuvering around things. The chair seemed to be tailor-made for precision, the trackball allowing for some very fine control.
"I haven't even tried it on stairs yet..."
It didn't go on all stairs. The chair would never ascend the narrow stairs up to the second level of the tour bus, for example. But it could go up and down some.
"I knew Johan would be a perfect compliment to our sound the moment I heard him play." Jay nodded, speaking highly of his bandmate's skill. He also couldn't resit waxing poetic about the versatility of the Hammers' lead guitarist either. All of the Hammers were a treat to hear live, really.
