Felix had chosen Jerry's bar to meet up with both Dee and Jay because it was a well-known band retreat for the tour and also served decent drinks. There also wasn't any danger of fights or other shit happening, what with Jerry being the bar owner and was a giant of a man. It would be a fun night. Felix had already given the head's up to Dee about where the place was to meet and was now outside having a smoke while standing against the wall by the entrance.
The night was cool and it was around Eight O' clock so pretty early in the evening. The Swede knowing some of the other band members were inside the bar having a good time.
Even if Felix didn't know them by name, he could probably recognize Dee on sight if he'd seen him around the entourage.
The singer had a very distinct look, now coupled with a very distinct chair - which, to Dee's credit, he was actually steering on his own now. Jay walked alongside him, holding his other hand instead of pushing him. It was taking some getting used to, but he couldn't help but smile when he squeezed it.
"Who are we meeting, now?" Jay asked.
"One of the newest bands. Well... part of them. I know Felix will be there. Not sure about his brother. The others are still overseas..."
Felix extinguished his smoke, stamping it out on the cold ground just as he noticed Dee in his chair accompanied by Jay. It seemed that Dee had an electric wheelchair and was doing well steering it.
"Hej, boys! Over here!"
The Swede waved the two over just by the entrance to Jerry's. It was a lively night inside the club and Felix wanted to make sure Dee would be ok getting his wheelchair over the door ramp and a table inside.
"Glad you could make it, both of you. Nice to meet you in person Dee. Jay? You're just as handsome as Dee said you would be."
A little playful wink to Dee, as he wanted both men to feel comfortable around him.
Dee snickered a Jay blushed slightly. "...I spoke no lies."
"Always good to meet another musician." Jay shook his hand. "Dee told me you play guitar?"
If Felix wasn't careful, he could spend the entire night talking shop with a fellow guitarist. Fortunately, that night wasn't going to be off to any rough starts. The door ramp was no match for the futuristic-looking chair.
"Yes, I play lead guitar for Lejonen, The Lions. Gunnar's band. My baby brother, Jakob, plays rhythm guitar and he's quite shy."
Felix had been noticing that the young Swede had been spending a lot of time around Syn which was cute. Maybe they were becoming close friends because they were of the same age? It was a possibility.
"Nice chair."
It was an observation as Dee's chair made quick work of the door ramp.
Dee had come a long way since Damien first tried to teach him how to use a power chair. He definitely preferred the trackball to the joystick in Choko's chair, and got the hang of it quicker than anyone (himself very much included) thought he would.
"Looks like you're an expert with that chair already."
Felix smiled and could see Dee getting the hang of the controls, which looked difficult to him but were no doubt more attuned to the singer's touch. Jay seemed like a sweet sort of guy as he complimented Dee.
"You're rhythm too? That's cool. I think there's another rhythm guy on the tour. Hans the tall blond Hammers guitarist."
As for Johan, Felix had seen that guy play and his fingers sped along the fretboard so fast he couldn't believe it.
"Johan plays some seriously awesome fucking riffs."
Dee laughed nervously. He'd rammed into more hotel room doors than he cared to count. But he was starting to get the hang of maneuvering around things. The chair seemed to be tailor-made for precision, the trackball allowing for some very fine control.
"I haven't even tried it on stairs yet..."
It didn't go on all stairs. The chair would never ascend the narrow stairs up to the second level of the tour bus, for example. But it could go up and down some.
"I knew Johan would be a perfect compliment to our sound the moment I heard him play." Jay nodded, speaking highly of his bandmate's skill. He also couldn't resit waxing poetic about the versatility of the Hammers' lead guitarist either. All of the Hammers were a treat to hear live, really.

The fact that coming out tonight was Dee's idea really made Jay smile. his fiancé actually felt comfortable enough in his chair now to go somewhere he wanted to rather than somewhere he had to.
"You're doing great." Jay encouraged before answering Felix. "I play rhythm myself in Kuro. Johan is our lead."
